I'm driving a 1994 Mustang GT Convertible with 163,000 miles and still running strong. I'm sure that's far from the most on this particular year but I'm curious as to what the current record may be. Thanks in advance for all replies.
well the guy that I bought my car from, bought it with 208,000 miles on the odometer. And the odometer had quit working. He owned it for three of four years driving the **** out of it. Now I am the third owner and I have owned it for a year now and have driven it maybe five miles! She is going to be new again when im done with her!
I have 208,000 miles on mine. It runs great and doesnt burn oil. I just drove it cross country without a single problem!
I just bought my 94 GT with an estimated 212K starts and runs fine. Although im starting to get a tick from the rockers. gonna rebuild it soon as i can afford it!!
It's not an SN-95, but there was a news special of a lady who had an 89 GT Mustang with over 600,000 miles on it. Not sure the exact mileage, but Ford bought her Nascar tickets because of the story. Since it's essentially the exact same engine as in our cars with the exception of having forged pistons, I think it qualifies as an answer to your question. Kurt
My '95 has 98k on the chassis. The 331 has only 3k. Sits in the garage most of the time now-a-days. 2800 miles in last 3yrs.
My 95 gt has 170,000, no smoke, runs like a champ. I also have a 89 toyota 4x4 truck and it has 300,000+.never been rebuilt.
Now that's cool. Most people give up on these cars when something "major" happens. Having owned both VIIs and VIIIs I can say they are really reliable, just give them the love they need when they need it.
My 95 has 154k miles and has only been drivin about 300 miles since 05' due to various non engine related problems, like my current "tow truck driver destroyed my front suspension" problem
I have 2 94's right now one with 195k miles that gets the **** beat out of it everytime I drive it and it gets frequent 600-1000mile trips some weekends. And the other 94 has 26k miles never gets driven
