I found that while staging I couldn't see my factory tach because of the crappy location in the dash.
I didn't want to drill unsightly holes in my dash, and I didn't think the plastic pieces on the front of the panel would support the weight of a tach. So I fabricated a "suction cup" mount from some stuff I had laying around. This way the tach is exactly where I need it to be while at the track but I can just unplug and store it the rest of the time. It's a Sun Super tach (retro look)which may be too old school for a lot of guys but is perfect for an old fart like me, it looks just like the one I had in 1970.
