Anybody know abot this stuff? Iv been noticing stickers at the pumps annoucing the use of oxygenated gas. I dont know if its a summer thing or if im just now noticing this. What are the pros(if any) and cons of running this stuff? i know its an emissions thing, and i remember my buddy saying he noticed harder starts on his carbed olds. What affects on performance might it have?

We've been using this stuff in southeast WI for years. The stuff just plain sucks! Your mileage goes down, it costs more and the oxygenation really doesn't work.
We get it too (though in AZ, as I recall, we get it in the winter time). I lose a couple MPG on EFI stuff. It actually makes a noticable difference in how the carbed stuff runs IMHO (the difference is for the worse). EDIT: in re-reading, I see your buddy thought the same thing.
