i put another ps pump in, in my quest to find one that doesent sound like a zipper or a dying cat. i didnt notice the big silver thing in the pressure hose, im guessing thats the valve, i thought it was further in there, and i have no steering assist whatsoever. will that valve being missing casue the steering to not work? i got another one from advance just incase but its a pain tracking down a pulley puller.
also if a rack goes bad will it be irregular in some places or when they go bad is it just leaking? mine doesent leak but its a reman cardone, and ive got some knocking, any way i can pinpoint what it is?
im thinking its the ujoint in my steering shaft, but my ragjoint is in great shape so if its not i dont want the trouble of pulling the rack, ect.
