I'm thinking of a good 331 or 347 stroker. Smedding, T&L, or Ford Strokers. Does anyone have experience with any of these suppliers that can give me feedback?

ford strokers does a very good job and haven't really heard any bad from anyone. also check out Keith Craft another well built engine and gets good reviews. these are my 2 choices anyways.

Thanks guys. I am actually considering the Ford Racing 347 built on the new Boss Block. My local dealer said they can sell it to me cheeper than Summit with free shipping.

your call but there are better motors for the money.Example Keith crafts 347 has more hp @ lower rpms and better torque curve than the Ford racing motor + better parts and a dart sportmans block although the boss block is good too but thier price with all the better parts is even cheaper than ford racing. so for a little cheaper or about the same price maybe has your guy can get the ford motor you can get 25 more hp + 15 more ftlbs of torque + or - depending on you set up and tune + better parts but in a better rpm range and curve. IMHO I would shop some more, even Rick and RNH could build you better motor for the money.

I am not a big fan of the 3.4" stroke on a FORD BOSS block, the cylinders are a little too short IMO, and I feel the DART blocks are far superior.

isnt that ford crate motor just a big bore 331?
Ford offered a 3.25" stroke 331 and a 3.4" stroke 347, not aware of any 4.125" bore stuff from them.

I did sound a wee bit gay there.
ford strokers built my block for me and i gotta say i am extremely happy with it and woody is one of the best guys to deal with after you receive your motor aswell.
