...but I guess that's the same with all car groups. I think it's more of a teenage and early-20's thing that an Import thing.

See, that's the thing now. You should respect the imports. Lol. Respect is earned, not given. When I see a reason to respect the ricers, then I will. In the meantime, they are the A$$holes weaving in and out of traffic and running 15s at the tracks.

I agree with that. The only difference is that there have been Hondas that have gained my respect.

Fastest FWD here last year was a 1990 Civic hatchback with a B18C-T. Ran 11.3, and looked stock. Car got parted out for some reason.
Second fastest Honda was a 1996 coupe that ran 11.6 @ 126. Had a B18C-T stroked to 2.0L, stock axles, open diff and worn street tires. Looked bone stock..owner is going for 10s this year.
Third was a Del Sol. Ran somewhere in the 11s with an SSAutoChrome turbo kit. Kinda ricey, but very quick.

A 10 second RWD daily driver will still need forced induction, a manual with a light clutch, no 90/10s, a really dumb camshaft and quiet exhaust. Beyond that, I don't see it happening.

Whoops... Looks like they slipped up and let the dumbsetics into NOPI, huh?

Sure. We don't even have emissions testing.

Apples to apples. I can personally show you a gsx in the mid-low 11's. And then from the same person, I can show you a cobra that pulls it. These cars pass a dyno emissions test.
The cobra also pulls his GF's supra.

Just to prove I'm not talking out my ass, I'll see if I can get over there on Wed and take pictures of the 3 cars. Can you take pictures of any 11 sec hondas that are owned by people you know?

Not much on any low 8 second car is stock..maybe the block?

The Insight drag car has an F22 engine (Honda Accord)..block and head are the only stock things on it (head is debateable, too).

I like Supras. Completely useless except for highway pulls. Probably the best-suited car for it, though! Never seen anything street-legal that could touch a 1300HP 2JZ on the turnpike.

Edit: The Supra won the pro-street tire class. :D

:bs: So basically you beat a POS econobox with another POS econobox. What exactly did you prove ? . Maybe it's just me, but you are starting to sound more and more like a ricer from your posts :notnice: Its kind of ironic that you make fun of ricers in their civics but at the same time you drive a car that is considered even worse than a civic.

Although I would never own or be seen in either car, I would rather have a civic than a POS hyundai  .

Can you not read? The point was that these ricers claim they beat Mustangs, yet they get beaten in a 107hp FWD Accent... Now I know for a fact that my Mustang is faster than my Accent... so how can these two ricers think that they can beat Mustangs when they can't even get passed a freaking Hyundai Accent. I've tried some Civics in my quest for a cheap daily driver. My next daily will be a Golf GTi or a Subaru WRX... I bought the POS because it was 2k below bluebook and I'm in the market for a new house so I need to keep my cash. For now I enjoy the 50mpg and not having to risk denting my Mustang in parking lots.

I'm not saying my accent is fast, I'm saying ricers are SLOW. I've seen maybe 2 fast hondas in my area. That's like 2 out of a 1000.... Even then on street tires, a 300hp Honda will need a wicked good driver to beat a "pretty much stock" Mustang.

What's funny is that you make a topic making fun of ricers with their fart pipes and it turns into a ricer-defence-fest.

Who the hell ARE these people?

NO! RedFox OBVIOUSLY can't read!

How about when asking Mr. Spec how much it costed him to make 700rwhp he replied with something in regards to his Sentra being stock when racing a 5.0. Congratulations! But the question STILL stands....how much DID you pay for 700rwhp in a ****ing Sentra?

THEN we have a dude who's SO concerned with spelling "NITROUS" properly, he ****s up his OWN post in the process, then calls ME the professor. :nonono:

Pony Girl = my nickname for YOUR girlfriend buddy. :rlaugh:

Daggar....show these kids where the rice forum is before they start up their WEED-WACKERS and chop up EVERYBODY'S front lawn.

:flag:

18k brandnew in 02. i said my stock sentra ran the same as my stock fox.

Sooooooooooo what you're REALLY trying to prove to the world, is that it takes $18,000 to go ONLY just as fast as a STOCK 5.0 built TWENTY years ago.

Damn! You GOT me....I can't believe I've been had.......I'm going to go tell EVERYBODY that rice is the way to go and then I'm going to sell my Mustang, save up an extra $13,000, and then go buy a car that's JUST as fast. :hail2:

:rlaugh: :rlaugh: :rlaugh: That sounds like a crock of sh$t in my opinion......but oh well......looks like everybody ELSE is doing it. See you guys later....I've got a BUNCH of money to start putting together.

Un-****ING believable!

Sentra Specs are nice cars, I'd gladly replace my Accent for one... I would NOT turn it into my weekend "racer" though. For the record I've never seen a Spec run "as fast" as a 5.0L Mustang, maybe a stock AOD 5.0L Convertible??? Well actually, I've seen 14.8 on one, most were in the 15's

I still say 700hp on a FWD is pretty dumb... it would be like watching a heavy-weight champion on a freaking pink tricycle. You'd need to race from a roll and even then, I wonder how 500hp would feel like on the street. I had a 140hp (maybe as much torque as the 500hp sentra) 3.1L Corsica and the thing would spin the wheels from a roll and could net you into a ditch on wet roads.

I have a DVD with a civic with maybe 400hp, huge slicks on the front, lexan windows and such GET BEAT BY A MODDED 4x4 Jeep CJ with a 360 (or 340) V8... The Jeep DROVE to the track, the civic was pushed off a trailor.

Sentra Specs are nice cars.

I agree with you 100%. Matter of fact....I have NO idea HOW a Nissan Sentra Spec V wouldn't be able to beat a stock 5.0, but that's neither here nor there. The principle of the matter is $ vs. hp. Sure...you can make ANYTHING fast, but how MUCH did it cost you to go that fast? That was the question I originally asked that was avoided the first time around.

In any event, I also don't have a problem with nicely done imports......as it looks like the Sentra Spec V WAS done properly. Matter of fact, I don't have a problem with FWD cars, hell, I CAME from the Contour forum last year b/c I owned a Contour SVT before someone pulled out in front of me and totalled it. I had quite a few things done to it and I would get plenty of respect from the Mustang owners when we'd square off at a light.

My beef is with anybody who thinks the import world is dominant over american muscle at it's own game......it's just silly. Not to mention all the 1,000,000 hp civics that you NEVER see that everybody has when you pull your Mustang into a gas station. It's stupid and childish, and frankly it should be an embarassament to our parents who were out there turning wrenches on their Mopars before the word NISSAN was even invented.

Ok so you two guys fighting with noone right now bought the 100% ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST, EASIEST, SMARTEST car to go fast? There wasn't a single other car out there that could go faster for cheaper, and you are doing EVERYHTING you can to make it as FAST AS POSSIBLE for AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE???

Until you do this, then STFU... People choose different ways of doing things, same reason you guys choose different ways of doing things. Ragging on someone because they spent more money to go fast in a different kind of car (especially when his 4 door Sentra will make BOTH of your cars look rediculous) is retarded. Please, take it from me, you guys look like babbeling morons at this point...

but keep going, it is amusing!

BTW, before you get your flame guns, and your panties twisted up, remember I am defending fast, well done imports here, not the average 15 second POS with body kits and wings (which can and does describe a lot of Mustangs as well).

I don't care about cost, my white coupe cost me under $3500 (with purchase of car) and ran .5 short of 100mph... If that's the case, get a Chevette for $200 and dump a pretty mean little 350 with 327 heads and run in the 11's or 12's...

Sentra is a nice little car but I don't care if it has 8000hp, better sound system than my living room, etc... I'd like to see a video of it at a track (out of curiosity). Dyno numbers are good for nothing if all you can do is impress the kids on myspace. I'd RATHER drive a 200hp Mustang over a 500hp FWD car anyday of the week.

This is a thread poking fun at 17-18 second RICERS, yet some people take offense to it

Another local did that, too. Got some ****box Chevette, put a twin turbo aluminum V6 in there. Hauls absolute ass.

Congrats, you spent $3500 to not break 100 mph. My brother has an 86 GT that he himself has about $1500 into, and ran 12.6 @ 107... I make the statement why rag on someone going fast a different way then you? Your argument is always, why waste time and spend all that money, and in response, I say the same to you, why waste all that time and money when you "could" have done it cheaper. Why didn't you get the Chevette and drop a big block in it??? Same reason the import guys didnt get 5.0s.

Se how it is a double edge sword? What you rag on others for, can be said the same to you.

Some people also may rather have a 500 hp FWD car than a 200 hp RWD car, so that is a dumb argument right there (afterall that is only your opinion, I would take the 500 hp car).

The problem is ricers and import owners arent the same, yet every Mustang guy seems to lump them together. You started ragging on them and now you make fun of a guy with a 700 hp Nissan... so YOU also derailed the original idea behind this post by doing that!
