4.10's and the 1/4 mile?

i was thinking of getting a 2800 stall and 410's in my car. the question is will i run out of gear before i get through the traps? i just dont want to be topped out before i get to the end of the 1/4.

3rd gear is the same as 4th in a manual, so I would say you'll top out around 108-112, which you probally won't get to with a mostly stock 'stang.

I was pulling 5600-5700 with my 4.10's. You'll be fine

I have a 2800 stall speed and 373's.Im getting 410's next week,Nahh,we will be fine crossing the line

3200 stall and 4.10s, though i'm only running about 100mph in the traps. Not to mention, i only have 50 serious tires in the back. If you run taller slicks or DRs it'll be like bringing your gear down to something around a 4.0 or 3.90 depending on how tall your tires are. My engine is pretty much out of steam by 100mph though and hiway driving suuuuucks.

dont fear the gear... i run 4.88's and a 5500 stall. crosses the traps on the other side of 150ish.
