Gel battery was in the Mustang. I broke the rearend in the Mustang. I broke the truck battery going over jumps. Put the Mustang's battery in the truck. A month later, fixed the Mustang, install a new Exide acid battery. I never got around to switching them. Learned my lesson.
Exide decided to spit acid out the vents and the seam. Acid on the fender, headers, underside of hood, and valve covers. I used baking soda to stop it. Paint is alright, but there is discoloration on the valve cover chrome.
They are only a $60 set of ford motorsport covers, is there anything I can do other than replace them?
Anti-battery acid? Windex? Simple Green? Beer?
