Buyer Beware! www.crossroadzdirect.com = poor.

sorry to hear about crossroadz. i thinking about buying from them too. i have had some good experiences with a few companies too however. MGW sent me a brand new shift knob after the rubber on my present MGW started coming off, turning my hand black. free of charge. MT has been great too, refunded my money when i ordered the wrong gear oil. great service from both.

WOuld it be possable to take the rim to a crome shop and have it dipped? That way if these guys dont back you up, you wont have to buy a new rim. And sorry to hear that man.
Not too long ago, I ordered some CC plates from a web site (forget name)...2 weeks later NOTHING, and their # had been dissconected lol. Come to find out the company hadnt been active for 6 months, yet they still charged my card for the CC plates!
So I told steeda (who supplied the CC plates to them) and they gave me them for the $219 the rip off site was chargeing( retail for $249). Thats customer service :nice: (BTW Credit card CO got my money back)

Some good posts here. I've gone down a few avenues already like this one.
I called around to see if i could get the rim rechromed because, I mean, the rim in itself is perfect, no scratches blah blah... and it will cost around $250 and 8 weeks to do it. The purchase of a new rim is $190... and instantly shipped... It's unbelievable really, to buy something new to replace rather than to repair.
Now that is incredible! haha I can't believe they still charged you. It's like some boob on the other line gets this random order, and figures
"hey! free money!" and puts it in... that's ridiculous. At least steeda was behind you on that. See, customer service man, that's what the 21st century's all about.

Wow, see gr... i'm jealous dude, you got away with a good company.
Like, hm, it's not as though I'm trying to destroy their reputation, if they were a good company they wouldn't have to worry about it... but i mean, definitely rethink any purchases with them from here on in. I've rethought all online purchases I do now. It's hard to trust people after you get screwed over.

CrossRoadz Direct Under New Management

View attachment 473837

CrossRoadz Direct has been purchased and is under new management. Entirely new people are running all operations. We stand by our products and the manufacturers who make them.

I have contacted Mr. Caldwell and will do everything I can to resolve the problem. I would like to invite anyone else who might have had a problem with CrossRoadz Direct in the past to contact me and I will do the same. We recognize that the future success of this company depends on customer service and building good relationships with our customers.

Well, I can say that I appreciate Rob's response to my last email and I hope that he is able to resolve my issue.

Go Stangnet Go.
yeah, i cant tell you how many times ive seen someone get the short end of the stick, post it up on stangnet, and then get everything settled b/c the company saw the post about them.
stangnet is like the watchdog of the aftermarket world :nice:

although this is true in most cases, i'll be more than happy to post the result:

Dear Rob,

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately a discount on further purchases does not necessarily help me in my current situation as I never intended on buying multiple sets of rims for my vehicle. I do however understand your position and realize that you, now taking control of the company want to start with a clean slate and to start off fresh.
But from what I gather on your reply, is that, now any past purchases made from customers to your company, either under your ownership or not, are now void. Although I can see your legal obligations I just hope you understand that you're still not helping your past customer (i was a customer of crossroadz at one time).
So that being said, I wish you all the best on future clients as I'm sure YOU'LL stand behind whatever purchases they've made, however retention on past clients has just gone out the window.

Thank you again for your time.
Doug

edit: my rims were installed in 2005, not 2004.
my mistake. I'm living a year behind apparently. Where does the time go.

but that was the original email i sent him.
i didn't want to edit the email post so you're reading something different than what rob is reading.

I have never even heard of crossroad direct....I saw in the car business you def get what you pay for...dont cut corners and use well known and liked companies.
Sucks about the wheels though
