camshaft help????

Ok, hope I made the right choice. Called comp cam and got a recommendation. Decided to go with comp cam xtreme energy XE274H, advertised duration 274-286 - lift .520-.523. This with roller tip rocker, machened heads with 192/160 chevy valves, keith black 40 over pistons, edlbrock perfromer rpm intake and carb and 4 spd 411 gears in a 289 motor. What do you think of the camshaft, will it work with this combo??? alot more cam then I had before, just a little worried about how it will drive???? any thoughts on horsepower?? any help would be appreciated.

good thing you have a manual tranny and gears, because low end torque might be a little soggy.

If you'rer planning on running stock heads with pressed in rocker studs, the XE's are a no-no.

thanks for the reply, was thinking of the XE268 also. I have threaded studs on the heads already so this shouldn't be an issue??? and was wondering of the low rpm power and was thinking of the 268. attached are the specs, what do you think???
