I have a cel and want to check it........Auto zone said they don't do the car cause its not oBDII. and same thing witht th other part stores...so i asked to buy a scanner and they handed me something with this on the back

it says all except 1994 and newer mustangs

ps.this is a 1994 3.8L what do i dO>>>>

pss. i cant even find a connection port for the either types of scanner...i see a thing under the dash but its coming from the c console behind and near the radio,shifter)

Most of the time, codes for non-OBD-II cars can be pulled without a scanner. You usually have to short two terminals on the diagnostics plug under the hood, and then turn the ignition key to ON (without starting the engine). The CEL will blink out the code (like five flashes, a pause, and three flashes for a code 53). The service manual should tell you how to do it.
