Does anyone here have an Edge torque converter? I asked them about a Street Edge converter for the AODE and they said that it's in the final stages of R&D. Here's an excerpt from an e-mail they sent me:
"This converter will be configured using the 245mm (9.5") impeller and turbine. The issues with the lock up in the smaller 9.5" unit have made this converter a challenge to adapt into performance application but with the use of the newest "high carbon" friction we have increased holding power to 140% that of the 12.5" unit you got from the manufacture with the car."
It will sell for $525 with the stall math and STR settings of your choice.
I cannot afford a PI torque converter so I'm looking for something cheaper. From what I have read, they are a reputable company. They give a one-year warranty.
I'm looking at a 3400 RPM stall, is that good enough with my current set-up?
