Im doing a 2.3 to 302 carbed swap!!!

I'M DOING A 2.3 TO 302 CARBED SWAP

I have a 87 lx with a 2.3 and a 5-speed. im planning to do the 302 swap but ima carb it to simplify things.... wiould it be better to just get another tranny or is it not too hard to get the bellhousing and change mine over?? I really need a donor but im having trouble finding one... I really want to swap my car and keep it because i got it for DIRT($600) and now its unique and ireplacable....you know what i mean?? what do u think and what do i need besides......motor,carb,trans?,clutch,mounts,exhuast,throttle linkage,carb,distributor,6-a box,???????????????? what else?? im sure someone here has done this... P.S. ill have from $1,500 to $2,000 to do the swap

Your going to need a fuel pump and pickup for the tank. I think you can get by with the 7.5 rear end for now. But i think you just about got it. I just pulled out my old carb set up wish i could find someone doing whaty your doing down here all my motor is missing is a dis. they'd need is a throttle cable bracket.

What would u take for the motor?? just so i can get an idea....
