So I was surfing Craigslist the other day, and saw a local Stanger down in CT selling some parts. He listed a solid billet Shelby brand strut tower brace for $75obo. I looked on AmericanMuscle, and low and behold it is a $300 brace. I called the seller, and he said if I came to pick it up he'd take $60. I also told him that I had a magnetic tail blackout that I don't need since my parents got me the CDC one for christmas, so he said he'd take it for his '11 and knock $10 off. I get down there, and he's the epitome of a great Mustang guy. Nice garage, beautiful 2011 red GT, and an old fox body project. We talked cars, and then he showed me the brace, and it was BRAND NEW. Not a scratch. He even offered to help me install it right then and there, which we did, and it fit awesome even with my factory plenum cover. I gave him the blackout, and pulled 3 $20 bills that the ATM gave me out of the wallet. He said he didn't have change, and then told me "well, I guess the price is $40 then, have a blast." and shook my hand. I was right then and there. I know I've done things like this in the past when I was selling some parts, because I just don't have the heart to tell somebody no when they want it, and I know what it is like to work with a limited budget, but this guy really hooked me up! Anyway, thought you'd all like to hear about it, as its hard to come by a true class act nowadays. THANKS LES!
