So i did a compression test before i started tearing down my engine and got what i think are some wierd numbers

150 = = 155

142 = = 142

138 = = 130

132 = = 125

The numbers slowly increase as you go towards the back of the car. Any ideas? Also, to disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rails you need a special tool correct? Any help is apprectiated, thxs.

Fuel lines are removed with A/C disconnect tools, get the plastic set for ~$12 from any auto parts store.

Compression does sound strange, I assume you held the throttle to the floor??
I would retest, going in the reverse order from the previous test.

dry, yes the throttle was held wide open, and no the motor wasnt up to temp. We ran another test, backwards this time, same results. Im pulling apart the engine because of an audible knock between 2000-2500 rpm on deacceleration. So far iv got the heads off, but cant see any visible excessive wear on valve train parts (pushrods/rockers/springs).
