I'm putting together a Cobra bottom end, with 165 heads, and pro magnum rockers. All that's left is the pushrod length. Now, I know the best way would be to check, but the motor is not together, and i'm not the one putting it together, so if there's a direct answer, i'd like to have it before dropping the car off.

Does anyone know what length pushrods it will use? Will the 1.6 ratio arms require a different length than the stock ones with 1.7s? (I'm switching to stud mounted)

Or hell, are the pushrods different lengths between a 5.0 cobra and a regular GT?

Edit to say, Thanks in advance... I really appreciate this "newbie-esque" question...

There really is no way to know for sure without checking.

So many things can cause the need for different lengths even though two combos may be similar.

Have the heads been milled
Has the deck of the block been milled
How thick are the head gaskets
etc, etc, etc

It is not all that uncommon for peds to need longer pr's than studs.

I used 6.250 length pr's with my combo but my clearances are not normal so that is not much help to you.

You'll just have to check it
