still having a problem starting....

when the car is warm it starts right up, but if my cars sits awhile it turns over a few times before it wants to start up....i can hear the fuel pump kick on when i turn the key...i've changed out spark plugs, distributor cap and mouse, ignition coil....any suggestions....

i was having starting issues and fixed them by replacing the battery terminals and cleaning up the connections on the starter. starts well, now. reason i say is cause that's relatively easy to check, especially swapping terminals.
 
If you cycle the key a few times before actually allowing the motor to turn over, does it fire up quicker?

A bad check valve in the fuel system can be a culprit. Not a super huge deal IMHO (a bad check valve does not necessarily mean the pump is going to take a poop).
