I might have the block painted by Christmas!
My schedule the next two weeks is nuts. I’m basically bouncing between dallas and San Antonio while stopping through at home.

I convinced the wife to let me pay someone to assemble the short block. This is 110% against anything I’ve ever done. But paying someone else is the only way i can seem to get this moving forward.

Plus the baby may be coming early, so I’m double screwed with half the time.

Flew to Dallas this morning for a meeting and then a site visit in Ft Worth. Stopped at the Summit warehouse in Arlington. Holy chit it was awesome. It's what an Oreilly's store has wet dreams about.

They have 1 of everything in their catalog out on display. For instance:

I sprung for a set of hellfire piston rings. Gonna drop the engine off for assembly at a different machine shop on saturday.
