What r Some simple Deletes to make My 87 Stang Lighter with little Appearance Change?

Tubular Kmember
Tubular control arms, front and back
Tubular bumpers
Front sport seats
Lightweight performance brakes front and back
Lightweight wheels and tires
Spare tire, jack and accessories
Manual transmission

Just a few without changing the engine parts.

In addition to the jack, remove the sound dampening crap in the trunk/hatch area. Someone on here has done a full breakdown (list and weight of items) showing what can be removed and how much weight it saves you. I believe the sound padding was like 15-20 lbs.

All that plus:

aluminum heads
manual steering
light weight battery
rip out the carpet, remove the sound deadening and carpet backing, reinstall the carpet so it looks stock but will be much lighter
fiberglass hood and trunk lid (or if you've got the cash, carbon fiber)
gut the trunk of all paneling and carpet (works best in a coupe since you can't see it)
when you remove things like power steering, A/C, emissions junk etc, make sure you remove the entire section of wiring harness that went with it.

For deletes, stereo including the speakers, sound deadening, dogbone, smong, ac, heater, manual rack swap, gt fog light brackets, swap bumper brackets to tubular front and rear... but don't get hit or hit anything. spare tire/jack, lightweight battery, sway bar or swap to tubular.... those are the cheap ones. For the non budget friendly... Heads will save about 50 lbs. fiberglass hood will save a bit, tubular kmember and a arms, people say fiberglass hear hatch but the glass alone is still really heavy and not much weight savings for the price, swapping brakes and switching to 99+ gt calipers.
