New design for 2009?

It's just a face lift....just like 86/87 and 98/99 was.

Chassis and basic shape won't change. They might continue with the retro theme and add some "hips" like the new camaro challenger and charger have.

I wouldn't count on a retro fox body. How many cars from the 80's actually look decent by today's standards?

Ford practically denies the existence of the '79-93 Mustangs anyways (which still baffles me to this day considering their popularity) so i don't think it would EVER happen, unless 20 years from now there's some old school Fox lover high up in the Ford food chain and makes it happen, but even then they'd probably screw it up :rlaugh:

They really do.

They were big in the 80's and early 90's, but when the Sn95 took off, they turned their back on them.

Did you notice when Ford advertised the S197, they used plenty of pictures of classic mustangs, a few SN95's and ZERO foxes??

They may love making money off them through performance parts, but they will never grace the screen of a commercial ever again more than likely. Good luck getting a retro-fox mustang out of ford either...they won't even give em 2 seconds in a commercial spot to advertise the s197

Yeah i love how when you go to find real licensed Ford stuff you can't find a damn thing about Fox's....that's why you can't find any scale cars like Hotwheels, because Ford doesn't give out licensing permissions anymore because they don't like that genre. It's F'in BS if you ask me, if not for the Fox Mustang and the F150, Ford probably wouldn't be here today.

Actually I already have a 2008 Mustang brochure and on the back it has one car from every decade of the Mustang.

A 64 vert.
A 72 Mach
and an 87 GT
...and of course the sn95.

Weight doesn't mean a thing anymore!!! My Dad has a GT500 and people say oh..well they are heavy....then I ask them if they want to race their light car...and everybody shuts up!!! That car is mind blowing fast. I let off once at 125MPH because the car just kept pulling and pulling like no other Mustang I have been in before.

lol they aren't that fast... im surprised you would say they are that fast given the vehicles you own already...

I dont doubt thatl...but still. If it was lighter, Just think of how much faster you would've been going.:D

Because push rod motors are old technology. Ford is past that. Look at the power the 4.6L and 5.4L are putting out now.

Take a Z06

Take a GT500

Take 1K-2K and throw them at each car.

Which will make more power.

I don't know many mods you can buy for a GM car for that little of money. Plus you have to spend 30K+ more for a ZO6.
