    Interior paint question

I'm getting ready to paint my interior. I'm going to use the rattle can paint from NPD. The existing paint on the doors and dash is in good condition, doesn't appear to have any rust or anything behind it. Do I need to strip it all down to bare metal or can I just scuff it up and spray it?

    Fender Lips

Have you guys seen the new fender lip rolling tool from Eastwood? Eastwood Fender Finisher Rolling Tool It pinches the lip rather than rolling, seems like it would take more time but it's a ton cheaper than their regular rolling tool. What are your thoughts? Worth a shot?

    Chrome Trim

Do you guy's know of anyone that restores chrome trim? My drip rails are beat up and I really don't want to use new pieces if I can help it, I've heard they don't fit right. Is there anywhere I can send it for getting the dings out and refinishing it?

    302 Block

I'm going to go look at a 302 block tomorrow and need some advice on what to look for. I know going in to it that it's striped down and sitting outside (for who knows how long). I emailed the seller and they aren't sure what year it's from but are pretty certain that it hasn't had any machine...

    Floorpans

I'm in the planning stages of replacing/patching my floor pans. If I'm replacing a good portion of the driver side front pan, do I need to move/remove the fuel line? How close is too close when it comes to welding near a fuel line? I know its right there next to the frame rail. Any tips or...

    Eaton Power Steering Pump

I'm getting ready to buy a new power steering pump. The old one is an Eaton pump but I'm not sure how to tell the difference between a front mount and rear mount pump. When I look up the part it lists both the front and rear mount Eaton pumps for a 65' Mustang with a 289, doesn't give any real...

    Choke adjustment

I've been having some problems recently with it wanting to die after it warms up. Here what's been going on: I recently adjusted the valves/rocker arms after I put about 150 miles on the new cam and installed a shift kit at the same time. Took it out for a drive after this and it ran fine...

    Torque converter

I am getting ready to install a new torque converter (Edge Racing Products 2,400-2,600 stall) soon and want to know if I need to get anything other than the converter for the install. Gaskets, etc. I am also putting a Transgo Performance shift kit in at the same time. I picked up a filter and...

    Idle problems

I decided to adjust my valves/rockers since they were getting a bit noisy after I would drive around for awhile. I'm pretty sure I went through the correct steps... pulled the valve covers, turned the crank to TDC, pulled distrubtor cap (with wires still attached), made sure rotor was pointing...

    Hard starting

Took the wife out for a ride this morning and stopped for breakfast. When we went back out 30 mins later we had trouble getting it to start. I could hear the starter turning and the battery isn't dead. It has a new solenoid, new Ford Racing mini starter and new alternator. I searched on...

    Cracked paint

I have a 1965 coupe that I am resto-modding. The paint needs some help and I am not even close to thinking about a new paint job so I'm looking for some help on bringing the paint back to life. From what I can tell it has been resprayed sometime in its' lifetime. The paint has a nice shine to...

    U-Joint

Just finishing up replacing my third member and thinking about replacing the rear u-joint while I'm back there. Can I do this with the driveshaft still on the car? Anyone mind giving me a quick walk-thru for replacing u-joints if you don't mind, first time here. I have a shop manual but it...

    Trac Loc question

I pulled the old third member off tonight and set it next to my new trac loc unit. Should I be able to tell a difference by looking at them... cause they sure look a lot alike! I'm hoping I didn't get ripped off on eBay.

    CAUTION: Non-Ford related topic....

I saw a new Challenger today... I hate to say it but it looks sweet! Not much change from the 70' version, looks like it burns about as much gas too!

    Fuel problem

Was driving last Friday and pulled away from a stop sign when the engine started chugging and bogged down (ran fine up to this point). Pulled over and put it in park, started idling ok again but when I turned around to head back home it started chugging again, no matter how much gas I gave it...

    Fuel gauge and sender

I've posted about my fuel gauge troubles a few times now... Time to revisit it! Brief history- Gauge never worked since I bought the car two years ago, replaced sender.... still no reading, replaced IVR... still no reading, replaced gauge... still no freakin reading! So tonight I grounded the...

    Power Steering Pump Toast!

On my way home from work today my power steering pump locked up and busted the pulley right off the pump. Luckily I was only a few blocks from home when it happened. Somehow the power steering belt was just laying there under the radiator when I pulled in the driveway! So anyways, if I want...

    Lowering Blocks

I am thinking about installing 1" lowering blocks in the rear to improve my stance. I have a rear sway bar back there. Will lowering blocks affect the angle of the sway bar as to where it mounts to the frame? It's the kind that mounts to the leaf springs in front of the axle and on the frame...

    Poly Front Leaf Spring Bushings

I installed the front poly bushings from a kit just like this one on my 65. http://www.mustangsplus.com/xcart/product.php?productid=1050&cat=2132&page=1 The problem is that the bushings are too wide to fit where the leaf spring attaches to the car. The springs are Grab-A-Trak 4 1/2 leaf...
