What can you tell me about these pistons?

351W pistons, I think they're cast pistons. Inside the skirt it reads "220" and "RV DUTY" It's an older rebuild and I'm thinking they're just cheap replacement pistons.

    [pic]What Engine Do I Have

My buddy gave me a 429 out of a '71 T-bird, but I was looking at the block and saw this: This was cast into the front left side of the block and it's cast in backwards (the photo is correct). Did 429s have this cast into the block? I'm almost 100 percent sure it was the original engine in...

Did All 1968 Fastbacks Have Rear Sidemarkers?

I'm looking at a 1968 Fastback and it doesn't have rear sidemarkers. The Mustang Red Book says "Mustangs built before February 15, 1968 came with a rectangular rear reflector while those built after had a bolt-on refelector with oval chrome trim." I don't have the VIN but I know this is an...

    A Little Rust Repair

Here's what I did this weekend. Sandblasted the cowl, then went to work on this nasty section, right side lower corner of the windshield area: Who knows how long it was leaking. At some point someone tried to seal it with clear silicone but all they did was fill in inderneath the trim...

Year One Is A Rip Off

Normally I wouldn't shop at Year One but some friends of ours bought us a gift certificate for Project Rustang, so i had to shop there. Everything costs more at Year One than it does at, say, CJ Pony Parts. Anyway, we got a GC for $150, so I ordered the inner and outer rear wheel wells...
