Ok so the 88 I bought has a non HO bottom long block. I checked by switching to HO firing and didnt run so well. It has the 88 oem headers, "HO" is cast under the "normal 5.0 HO" plate so I should have "HO" intake? Orange injectors (HO?), EMS is EEC-IV when I removed kick panel. It seems to run ok and doesnt seem as slow as 150hp non ho rating...I have a 95 GT as well for comparison. So this fox is just a car for me to cruise around in with my kid. Id like to get it to around the 86GT HO specs since I dont plan on swapping the E6SE heads...what would I need to get around the 200hp mark?

The camshaft determines the firing order, not the computer. HO engines had a roller camshaft that had lift and timing aimed at higher performance figures. If you replace the flat tappet camshaft with a roller unit, you need to replace the iron gear distributor with a steel gear distributor from a 87-93 5.0 Mustang.

Use a computer that matches the engine firing order to get maximum performance.
