thanks, the paint is from sherwin williams the tag on the back of the can says it's wrought iron flat black the number (i'm assuming) is 140-0514. it is almost a perfect match to the intake. if you compare the 2 right on top of each other you can slightly tell a diffrent shade in color but the distance they are on the motor away from each other you'd never know.peace

I have read the sticky and my buddy doing the swap has been around the game for a while now, BUT id like to be able to lend an idea here n there. Motor looks sick! When its going on the dyno? Im anxious to see what kind of numbers u see with the AFRs, those are the same heads I will be slapping on mine.

that "wieird spacer thing" on the cam is a cam balancer. you NEED that. trust me, i forgot to put it back on my car and it ran like crap. no lie, i stepped on it and wouldnt go any faster than 20 mph. I had to take off everything again and put it back on, and ran normal. dont go through the same trouble i did.

Ummmm you did something other that not putting that back on......it has ZERO performance purposes whatsoever! It is an oil splasher on EFI cars and a fuel pump ecentric on manual fuel pumped cars! I have removed EVERY SINGLE one i have done and NOTHING has ever happend.......even on the 7200rpm 331! Dont speak if you dont know!

yeah that's a strange one.......there may be metal shavings in your oil pan if she wasn't going over 20mph........

well, w/e people. that was posted a whhiilleee back, i've come to realize its not what i thought it was, it was just coincidence that it worked after. let it go already. no life people. That was what i was told. i had no clue what the hell it was.

man that looks sick! I hope mine looks just as good. I got my twisted wedge heads this afternoon and tfs stage 2 cam. Those valve covers look friggin sweet! forgive me if the question is dumb, but are they stock 351w or stock 302? So im assuming for the fuel rails u did the cutting and extending the flex line and using the small clamps? U dont mind being my guide as I attempt to do my swap do you? Damn I got to find me some cheap fow swap headers too

i can coach ya the best i can along the way threw yours, just email me at [email protected] or P.M me here on stangnet. yes they are the stock 302 valve covers with the baffle removed. yes i had to cut the stock fuel lines off the fuel rails and buy fuel line to reconnect the rails.make sure when you do it you ask for hi pressure fuel line. tell them your running EFI,you will need 2' of fuel line and it's about $5.00 a foot.if you go to Web Page Re-director theres a few pairs of swap headers there to. also theres a guy here in the NW section that i was gonna buy his swap headers from. oh yeah found out today also i need a cowl hood. go off my list of stuff for your build. also i left 1 thing out i had to make a spacer to go between the balancer and crank pully for my pullies to line up. no biggie cause summit sells them also.peace
