Went for a ride in a '11 today

Agreed. I havent ran into a car yet that I dont say bring it. I know they are out there, but this certainly isn't one :nice:

with a few mods i bet it is :nice:

We can sit and speculate all we want - until its out, and people are doing things to these new 5.0's all we can do is "guess". I bet its in the low 13's right out of the box, with a good driver and slicks 12's ?

I think the more important question here is how soon before people start wrecking their new '11+ GT's so i can pick up a drivetrain for dirt cheap and shoehorn it into my 5.0?

412HP in a 3000 pound car has gotta be a fun little ride for sure. I think i read the new 5.0 will weigh in around 420 pounds dressed...while a stock headed 5.0 is in the 500's??

Just curious to see how guys get around the electric steering issue with the new 5.0...and the fact that the brake booster will prob not fit with the big engine in the bay requiring a 4.6 hydroboost setup to be used.....

I wish i had lots of disposable income right now...i'd be first in line to buy the engine and the rumored stand-alone EEC setup Ford is making for retrofits.

I have a good bit saved, but I'm building a house and getting married in June. The Mustang budget is going to be hovering at zero dollars for a while. :(

HA thats where I am! Got married and bought a house last March. Stang is parked in the garage with a host of mods waiting to go on. (some are going to be sold due to my changing interests :) )

Man, its been tough for me. I get what I call "Mustang anxiety" when I go for too long without driving it or turning wrenches on it. For the first time in years I went all winter without some sort of a big project on the car.

I can't wait to get hitched, build this 3-car garage ( ), and settle back into normal life.
