I was rummaging around a junkyard to find a new ignition switch when I found a '70 Cougar. After I freed it of the switch, I came across a set of disc brake spindles - in the trunk. There was only the spindle, splash guards and caliper.
First obvious question is, can I use these '70 Cougar spindles to replace the drum brakes on my '70 Mach I? I have a manual dual-cylinder master cylinder, and will be getting a new caliper with the rest of the missing parts. I'm not necessarily interested in 'original.'
Second, is it cost-effective over the 'Granada' disc brake swap?
PS - On researching information, I see that people deem the '70 relatively easy to find parts. They've never looked for a 1970 headlight switch retainer nut, a 1970 ignition switch, or power steering parts for under a 351C.
