Im putting together my 331 from DSS, Now my block is bored .030 and I talked to DSS and they said I needed the 4.030 bore Headgaskets that are .040 thick. Im a bit confused on the bore size. I found a good deal on ebay for a set of Cometic gaskets and one say "this is a 4.060 gasket bore for finished engine blocks bored up to 4.030". The other says this is a 4.030 bore gasket for finished engine blocks bored up to 4.000". Which one do i need??

get any gasket that is at least 4.030 inches. Most head gaskets are 4.100 even if the engine is not bored, and it really does not hurt anything to do that. In fact, getting a gasket that is 4.030 when your bore is the same is not good IMO in case it does not line up exactly with the bore. So I would get the one that is 4.060 or anything more than that.
