There may be a good opportunity here, you might want to consider- if they're that offended, and its that important to some of them, put it up on their classifieds, for, say, $20 grand. Include in the ad what will happen if there are no takers. When no one thinks this is reasonable, you can tell them that it must not be THAT special. Its your car, unless one of these purist nazi's would like to buy it, do what you want with it! If the history of Mustang will be changed by this mod, we're all going to be responsible for the collapse of civilization!

Build that car- the SVO was a great idea- didn't go off right, from the get go. Guys were buying them back in the day, and trying to go fast, cuz they spent a ton more than the GT's, were seriously disappointed. You already have 4 wheel discs, 5 lugs, 5 speed, and lots of room under the hood. If it were an 86, some purist retard might nibble at it, but those others were ball less(is that one word?) wonders, buzzing around the SCCA solo events to second place finishes to 944's. Build away.
