You lil ****s! lol I wish i could go soooooooooooooooo freakin bad! Work FTMFL!!!!!!!!!!

John, see if you can plan for it in October. I know your work is tough stuff and probably not too flexable, but it's worth it to go.

Kyle, how many people are going with you? I have sent PM's and emails to those that committed to going a while back, but have not heard anything from them. I've got 2 buddies going, and one is having some of his work friends follow us. I will give you a shout later in the week so we can figure out when we want to head out.

BTW, I possibly broke the Z at SAR saturday night. Tranny/rear end issues.

Sounds good! I know, rear ends are becoming a big annoyance with the c5. SW's cars just ran 190+mph at the 2k10 event this weekend in Sealy. A couple of shops are all but assuring that 260mph will be achieved this week in a production vehicle.

Some of the fastest street cars in the world. The event has grown each year. I am working out some kinks and figuring out if I can run my car this year(built rear end with 3.90's, possible 125shot) so I would need 6th gear. Right now, I have heard of 2-2v cars, and around 15-4v cars signed up. I am sure a few 3v's will be in the mix as well. If you are in Texas or anywhere in the country and want to register, do it asap, as registration does fill up.

Eitherway, we are going back out again. We will have a small pit and spot setup, we will provide the beer. If you are within 200-300 miles, it is worth the trip. You get to see the fastest street cars in the world up close at over 200mph. Hundreds, and hundreds of crazy fast cars gather in Goliad, most that don't race, just to check it out. It's a hot rodders dream.

Will do:flag:

Looks like Kyle(KBexperience) is bringing his camera, but I am sure we will all have some camera duties. Too long of a day to just sit behind a lense.

Guys, lets go, too many people have backed out! Texas air, beautiful back roads in Historic Goliad, intoxicating fumes of race gas, 200+mph cars, beer, bbq, women, etc?

If you are within 200 miles, it is worth it.

2 of the bad boys of Houston already had round 1-3 on the way back from 2k10 in Sealy Sunday night. I heard the race was going down, and tried to catch it, but there was too many cars and confusion on I-10 back from Sealy(I was coming back from San Antonio)

Both SW's 1500hp Lambo and LMR's 1200hp Vette are playing this weekend. Here they are during a 60-200mph race this last Sunday

I can't even begin to imagine what the fine would be if they got pulled over

but its not like anyone can catch them

lol

I agree, it was stupid, but that is how these guys do it. They hit the streets, they hit the track, and it usually involves quite a bit of cash. Notice that heavy LMR 2010 Camaro on the right keeping up with the vette and getting up to around 200mph that fast? I've heard that car is just an animal at the strip, and it's a daily driver.

I saw an 03 cobra they put out a while back that was making like 800rwhp on pump gas. I think they are close to your neck of the woods.

yep, i've been too their shop. Went with a buddy to one of their dyno days in his Camaro. Its a cool place, but they're 98% GM

lol

What's wrong with GM:rlaugh: I understand, though, that is why I don't use them. They have developed the "MTI" of Houston, not Atlanta, reputation. We have so many great shops in our town.

I also heard there was gonna be a showing of a tt GT that recently made a pass of 253? Gonna be some sick cars no doubt.

From ls1tech...

http://Lambo is Underground built made 1560awhp But in the runs somewhere 1200-1300awhp

C6 440ci Twin turbo and Nitrous made 1153rwhp 17psi but in the runs 12psi and nitrous..

Camaro is LMR 403ci and APS Twin turbo 1004rwhp

Bike is 50shot

Quite a few. If you are thinking local, you are thinking of John Hennessey(owner of Hennessey and Lone Star Raceway). Ford GT day was Friday in October, where there was nothing but GT's. Here are the pics that I took in October of this car with the TT. I believe it went 227mph here. This is right between 3/4 and the 1 mile mark, so he was well above 200mph in both pics.

What another fantastic day of racing! If you missed this one, it was big! Cars going in to the 220-240 range! The fastest bike went 269mph!!!!!! Insane, considering we were just a short distance from all these passes. We left at 6:20pm from Goliad and only got to see one of Underground Racing Lambo's run. SW(black lambo) and the the green lambo were getting fueled, powered up as we were leaving. I will post the results in Kyle's new thread.

KBexperience(Kyle) took his New Edge and followed along in our Benz today. He took 450 Pics of the cars at their top speed and in the pits. We had a great setup inside the infield with our lawn chairs.

The biggest draw was the C6 Z06, ZR1, GT 500, and Ford GT's. The Ford GT's turned out to be the fastest cars as a bunch, compared to the Porsches last year.(just my opinion, but not fact). The C6 cars were the 2nd fastest as an overall group of cars.

The 2 most impressive cars were a 60's camaro that did 204mph with what looked to be 18-19 inch tires, and a 4 door Porsche car, which had a wagon back side that did 180mph with a girl driving it.

I'll let Kyle start the new thread with the pics of this year.
