How much will our 2v cars deprecate in 5 years???? A clean 2v with less then 80k miles, can we at least get 6k for it?
Yeah but only if they fall into one or more of the following categories:There will be a point where depreciation will taper off on our cars.
A lot of the nice LX fox's around this area are now going for close to 15k.

$15K for what? Was it dipped in 24K gold?
Another comparison might be the LT1 and late 80's/early 90's SBC 305/350's that pale in comparison to the LS1 era. Even in great shape they aren't really worth anything.

Intersting thread,
I've wondered this myself as I pour cash into my 00 2v. With the newer ones out and only getting faster, it'll be hard to even regain some that was put in.
Spend 20-25k including the car and you're still fighting to beat a stock new mustang.
In their opinion?!? Try in every opinion. Outrunning a newer, faster, better car by throwing parts and power adders at an existing one only proves that you can make an older, modified Mustang outrun a stock newer Mustang in a straight line. It doesn't change the fact that the newer car is still superior as a whole.Besides, you love the feeling when your sleeper Fox, sn-95, aero, outruns, in there opinion, a far superior design. Only certain people want a car that would really break the bank to highly mod. (I will stick to my Sn-95, won't be hard to break 700 HP anyway)
I rarely see a 80's or early 90's camaro/firebird in excellent condition. most of them look like **** and are beat to hell. I have saw a few that were really clean and they were asking anywhere from $5-8k.
as far as our cars in 5 years there will probably not be too many with below 80k, when i was looking a few months back almost all of them forsale had over 100k miles. I got mine with 55k and its really just a weekend toy. I would think if its still under 70k miles you could probably get $6k out of it, as long as its still in great condition. Just depends how many stangs are still out there in the same condition, the more there are the less you will be able to get.
