T56 swap for 01 Cobra?

A friend of mine has a freshley rebuilt T56 from a 2000 Camaro SS. He has offered it to me for next to nothing, and I am wondering how involved a tranny swap would be. Has anyone swapped out a TR3650 for a T56 in a 01 Cobra?? Furthermore, since this is out of a Camaro, what all needs to be changed or replaced ..ie. input shaft, output shaft, slave cyl. conn., shifter location?? Will the bell housing from an 03/04 work on this trans??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out D&D Performance

You probably need to change the flywheel, housing, and driveshaft. D&D will have all you need. I had the Viper Spec put in over the winter....had some problems with it this Spring and after running it at the track it's locked in 4th. Not too happy, but they will be fixing it under warranty. Obviously there was an issue from the start as it has about 600 miles on it now. Other than this 4th gear issue, I love the tranny.
