I'm a turbo guy, but there is no "better." There's just what you like more. There are plenty of badass blower and hairdryer combos out there.

thanks guys for all the adivce, i know i didnt note if it but i was talking about a drag race. To the person that ask if there is alot of rich kids around my neighboorhood no i just work at a chevy dealership and i am sick and tired of these ZO6 owners thing that there **** dont stink. So back to the qustion, would it be better with a turbo or a supercharger. i know turbos has the top end that i need but the supercharger has the low end torque.
Here is what you need. Buy a ls1 and put it in a fox!!
This is going to be the next generation of hot rod... The fox mustang could be one of the best platforms to start a project car, and the LS motor is one of best engineered motors to come out in the last 25 years.
Foxes with LS1's are gonna be this generations 32' ford with a SBC. Its evolution.
Seems that way huh?Hmm apparently you can't have an opinion on here that doesnt always say the fox body is the best car ever...
Good to know, I will go outside and praise my car now!!!
It's actually kinda the other way around. It may take a second for the turbo to come on but when it does they make HUGE torque.thanks guys for all the adivce, i know i didnt note if it but i was talking about a drag race. One question... How is GM cookie cutter over Ford? Ford went with Modular motors so they could use parts across their brands and models. How is that any different than GM using an LSX based motor in their line up?
I am not brand loyal, and seeing someone who is (now if your being paid by Ford to only run Ford then I guess its ok) makes me question why? Your limiting yourself if you only shop for one brand of car!
I can see this thread going 10 pages if it doesn't get locked. My comment and picture on my engine was pure joking. I was in a good mood yesterday, and just playing around. You guys all know that I love fox bodies. You've all seen my progress threads.
To beat a Z06.....chit....my friend used a STOCK STOCK STOCK 160,000 miles shortblock, HCI, blower, 14psi, race gas, 5 speed car and it laid down 520RWHP. He SMOKES just about any car.
I don't mind talk about putting a mod motor in a Fox.
I just wouldn't want to have to change the spark plugs...
But yea, these kinds of threads are pretty much doomed from the start, like in middle school when you get in arguments over Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Its almost completely meaningless. That and I'm no good at holding my tongue.
I’m with fast on this one. A cheap h/c/I setup with nitrous or a turbo shouldn’t be much of a problem. With a turbo, you get the added benefit of running 3.27’s and keeping the RPM at a respectable level. It will be better with fuel economy….and give you a longer ratio for longer 4th gear pulls. If you can get your trap speed up to the 130 +/- range (which shouldn’t be too difficult with mild boost levels), you're average stock Z06 shouldn’t be much of a problem from a stop or a roll.
Bottom line is traction is key beat him down low cause there isn't anyway to beat him on the top end.
