I really gave this some thought. I have several sets of refinished cobra headlights and they look a lot better but I went with the original headlights that came in the car since it’s an S-351. So I’m going to stick with them.Are you going to stick with those headlights or switch to the cobra version?
I installed these all the time and you weld like 4 points according to most manufacturers. But these guys welded the damn things front to back and every weld is ugly as sin. They have to have used a whole spool of welding wire.
Thanks for checking it out. The filler on the subframes is an all metal type and with them being as rigid as they are being welded all around, it will not crack.You should see the welds I did. Or maybe not. You won't sleep for a week.
The body filler on the subframes won't crack? (yes I'm a little behind).
It seems like what you're doing is doing some filler, sanding, priming, sanding and see where it breaks through and repeating. Is that correct? Isn't where you breakthrough a high spot? How do you handle those? I assume it's not by filling all the area around it?
I've seen many people fill holes in the engine bay or weld in the solid panels - why are all of the holes there to begin with?

About your priming - did you move the car into a booth for each coat of primer, or just primed it in place (your dolly setup didn't exactly look mobile )

How do you not scratch the paint all to heck when you're working on the car, particularyl when install the engine? Move slowly, centimeters at a time?
