That reminds me of a stupid yard ornament project that I'll never do! Lol

I had the brilliant idea of getting a bunch of pink flamingoes and lining them up as opposing football teams. I thought up even making a goal post out of PVC and somehow even tying a football with fishing line or something to make it look like it was mid-play or something. Then, not too long ago, someone shared a pair of flamingoes in 2 different colors which just fueled that idea.... :jester:

The part that reminded me of this is that I thought of those mini helmets you used to get from gumball machines, I had the idea when I first concocted this :poo: idea that that's how we'd know they were on opposite teams.

At first when I read this I was all "Oh Hell No!". But now I'm thinking heck yeah? I'm pretty sure there's a few out there that would get the humor.

This morning I drove through another snowstorm to go see the car and decide on the final paint.

You know I've been outdoors in the woods. Oh well. I stopped over there today. Just so you know...fiberglass sucks. There's much more work involved than I ever imagined.
Here you go. I'm impressed with the work the guys are doing. It is wayyyyy beyond my skills or patience.

I had to drop by today to drop off a part. Here's what they did with the air dam and the rear bumper is ready for sanding and prime. Driver door and jams are ready for paint.

It's good and potentially bad. It's good that it'll look like a million bucks when it's done and back on. It's potentially bad in that if you damage one or the other you'll have to have them both replaced. Hopefully nothing happens to either one so it can look like a million bucks for a long time!

FWIW, I've hit mine on curbs and stuff and not really damaged it. The new fiberglass spoilers are a LOT better than the originals. Hell, when the Cobra died last month and I had to rent a dolly I was loading it and pulled both the valance and the spoiler off from the spoiler hitting the ramps. The spoiler is fine, now I just need to repair the mounting holes on the valance. Long story short, I think you'll be fine judging from my experiences. :)

They is doing a nice job!

Slow, but nice.

Glad to see it getting done right by people who know the difference.

Thanks guys. I discussed the whole thing with them using those points. They were concerned that the valence and spoiler did not line up correctly as in the gaps from one side to the other were drastically different. I like the way it looks together much better than when they were separate.
I'm just going to have to be careful.
